Rickshaw Rush: Streets of Dhaka
Ride a rickshaw through Dhaka traffic. Don't crash.
How we made it
Rickshaw Rush was the second game made by our studio—a passion project inspired by two things: Dhaka’s iconic cycle rickshaws and the classic top-down games on old Nokia keypad phones.
Steering through Dhaka traffic isn’t about top speed; it’s about momentum and reading road chaos. In Godot, we gave the rickshaw authentic pedaling inertia. You can’t stop on a dime, so high scores require committing to narrow gaps between green CNG three-wheelers and buses rather than panic-braking.
The visuals celebrate local street culture with hand-drawn pixel art: painted rickshaw plates, roadside tea stalls, and tangled power lines. A procedural traffic spawner keeps lanes unpredictable without unfair pileups. It started as a quick studio experiment and quickly became one of our most replayable web games.
